Week 7 — Art Idea Essay — The Art of Place
A sort of place will always have an in-depth meaning to it. A place can be someone’s home where it’s an area where they can be their true self to what they hide in society. Also, a place can be where culture is established and it can be exercised by individuals in their own way. Without a place that creates the opportunities for you to be expressive or be at comfort, life wouldn’t be as amazing as it should be. Everyone must have a place where they can call it their home or even sacred place.
The artists that I am inspired by works with cartoon figures. Their work has a strong emphasis on the perspective of the picture and the gesture of the hands. The artwork displayed is useful in describing how the character is feeling or what their action means. Most of the time, this artist draws to represent what’s going on showing what the characters intentions are. The artist artwork provides the feel of being in the virtual world as your own character.
A form of place that could exist is a place where there is nothing but emptiness and silence. With this place you would not think of anything or be stressed about anything. This place can be adapted to school, work and even to your own personal life to where you just don’t want to think about anything. I can say this can heavenly adapt to us millennials in the 21st century because most of us are stressed out and we make reckless decisions to better ourselves. With this, it can prevent us from doing something that’s bad for us.
After analyzing my findings , the vision I have for the 21st century is that many people will be closed off from one another. As we are experiencing the pandemic where everyone is quarantined, not many people would socialize with one another. This also makes it harder for instance income freshmens from a different school to try to get to know people. As of now everyone’s place will remain home or even to themselves. America will continue to remain an isolated country until a cure is found. My place will remain in the virtual world were I can talk to my friends and respect the 6 ft apart policy. After I graduate from school, I would like to be in a place in my major with good coworkers and a job I look forward to everyday.
